Why poker can kiss my ass

I am an avid poker player. I’m not the greatest, I’m not the worst. I enjoy the game, I enjoy hanging out with friends and killing 12 hours of my life every other Saturday, and every Thursday, and playing poker and having a good time all around. However, I do not enjoy losing money to morons, time and time again. That is why poker can kiss my ass.

We play in a league that meets every other Saturday (see also: www.poormanspokerleague.com), tournament style poker for a reasonable buy-in. After the tournament, we play cash games, where you buy as much as you want, every chip is worth a quarter, and the blinds are .25 and .50 to start, of course both games are no limit. So that’s all well and good. Our tournament has been going strong for about 3 years now and we haveĀ  a good following with new people showing up almost every game. New people are the worst, because the lot of them have absolutely no fucking clue how to play, how to bet, how to act like a decent human being, etc.

The point is this. When I have Ace/Queen suited, or pocket kings, and you raise it up to $9 pre-flop, when there’s fucking $1.25 in the pot, and you have 9 3 offsuit. I’m going to call you. Every single time. And when you flop trip 3’s, I’m going to be pissed off, every single time. It’s not that I can’t take getting beat. If you win, you win. But when you do dumb shit like that every single hand, and you hit it almost every single hand, it gets annoying, frustrating, and it pisses me off.

This has been my poker experience for the last 3 months or so. I have the best hand, and then it gets beat on someĀ  dumb shit, by a moron who raised because he wanted to steal $1.50 out of the pot and play the next hand. So here’s my $80 dollars, you take your seven deuce and go fuck yourself.

if you have pocket kings and someone raises to $9 pre-flop, you should go allin.
